1. How did your get into the travel business?
I had two passions; salsa and traveling. So it seemed like a good idea to combine the two. Besides, on one of my travels, I went to Cuba and I was very impressed with the country and the culture there. Cuba is a unique place and for music and dance lovers it's heaven. The quality is very high. So: put salsa, traveling and cuba together: La Dynamica was born.

2. Do you recall your first trip. If so, tell us a little about it ?
We went with our first group of 18 interested people in August 1998. We had worked hard planning the details. Of course we were nervous having the responsibility to give all these people a great holiday. Everything went fine. We were exhausted afterwards, but very happy and content that we pulled it off. Best thing was: many of our ''clients" fell in love with Cuba and keep going back.

3. What is your favorite place and why?
I must say: Havana! I wouldn't want to live there but to visit it's fantastic every time. As for dancing: the parties in Havana, There's nothing else like it.

4. What do you feel makes salsa music so different from other genres of music?
It's happy music; just listening to it brings you in a better, more sunny mood. Besides; it's become like a sub-culture internationally. Anywhere you go these days you will find salsa places where you can go and share your hobby with people of all ages and character.

5. If you could meet any person who would it be?
Fidel Castro; I would like to ask him some questions face to face and hear and see his reactions. I disagree with his regime but he's a fascinating person which ever way you look at him.

6. In your free time what do you enjoy doing most?
Dancing and organising holidays is actually a hobby of mine, because I'm a food-engineer for the rest of the week. The time that's left I like to spend with my man and baby-daughter or with good friends having dinner.

7. If you were stranded on an island. What 5 things would you take with you?
If it's just things I'm allowed to take (and not people), books would be first on the list. Besides that I'd like a telephone to keep in contact with the people I love, and good cooking materials to be able to experiment with all the exotic food on the island. And maybe a walkman with ever lasting batteries and my favorite music. For the rest I wouldn't need anything....

8. What do you hope to bring into salsa?
I love getting more people interested in it. When we teach our salsa classes we always try to stimulate people to take more classes and to go out to parties. That way more and more peolpe will join us. Of course I also want to bring Cuba to the salseros; or better say: bring them to Cuba so they can appreciate this unique dance culture where the roots of the salsa lay.

9. There are a lot of extra ordinairy people in the your field. What are a few of your favorites?
I'd like to start with my favorite singer: my husband; Fabian Nodarse.
I met him in Cuba and only weeks after him arriving in Holland he was singing with one of Holland's topbands: Rumbatá. I love to listen to him singing anytime.... The other one I'd like to mention is Rafael Espinal, my first and only salsa teacher. He showed me how to enjoy the music. He's braught the swing to my life. And of course Enrique Zijsling, founder of salsa school Union. He gave me a chance to give dancing clases at his school and now, more than 4 years later, I still enjoy working there. It changed my life.
